Outdoor Christmas Ornaments - Making a Bold Statement

So "out with the old, in with the new" is the idea for this year's holiday outdoor decorations. Perhaps in prior years you only used a few things, such as a simple wreath or a seasonal welcome sign, to decorate your garden. This year it's time to be bold and show the world that you enjoy the Christmas holiday, as well as bringing a smile to the faces of all those who see your decorations. Look for the type of outdoor Christmas ornaments and decorations that Grandma may never have seen or heard of.

If you want outdoor decorations that attract attention, you need to use large ones, but remember bigger is not always better. Larger decorations have become more popular in recent years, and are certain to impress. Outdoor Christmas displays have been transformed in recent decades by the use of lighting effects to create animation. Placing a large, animated Santa complete with sleigh and reindeer on your roof or in your front yard will turn your home into a popular neighborhood attraction.

"Hyper ornaments" include Christmas decorations other than just Santa and his reindeer. You can add less traditional variations, for example, Santa on a motorcycle, to brighten your yard. An animated train, with helpers in his workshop are good ways to display Santa, but you could also use snowmen, angels, and other popular Christmas characters along with those to join the beautiful display.

Or do you prefer the more traditional scene of the Christmas nativity? This too has become very popular in recent years, offering large lighted versions that can set a unique scene in your yard. You can find complete nativity sets that are pre-lit, and all you have to do is set it up. You could also find pieces separately, which should be an easy task during the holiday season. Arrange them yourself and everyone that sees them will love them. When buying items separately, be sure to keep a clear idea of size. You can use sand bags or anything heavy, to weigh down the large ornaments if you live in a windy or stormy area.

When you have all of your nativities and Christmas decorations, all you have to do is set them up, and have a great holiday season; and end the year with fun and happiness.
