'Delicas'.

Q: I need to order some more 'Delicas' and I would like to find who has the best selection and descriptions. I have ordered from 'Fire Mountain' a few times, but sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between their beads (i.e. color lined and transparent look identical in the catalog, etc.) Otherwise, they have given me excellent service. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

A: You could try 'Caravan Beads' on the web. I think they are the ones who have all the colors posted to the web. They are very good to deal with. I'm sure there are other places on the web, too. I think 'Shipwreck Beads' has 'Delicas' as well. The best way, and really the only true way, to solve your problem is to invest in sample cards. A bit pricey, but worth the money. They are having trouble with the shopping cart on the site right now, but you can browse the site and phone or fax your order. I'm not sure about selection in comparison to others - there are SO many 'Delica' #s, I am always a little overwhelmed! She has color scans on the website, and she also has a neat service where, for a couple of bucks, she'll make up a sample card with (I think) 24 different 'Delicas', your choice. Please check out my site as well. Although we are Canadian, we do mail to the States!! I think my prices are very good, and there are scans of all the colors that I have. In addition to the other excellent suggestions in this thread, you might want to order a sample card of 'Delicas'. I believe 'Fire Mountain' offers them, at least they used to.
