Pricing Work.
Q: How does everyone come up w/ a price for the items you make? I just go by what I have seen before. Is there an actual formula?
A: I have several ways that I price my items. I figure cost of supplies, and then raise the price 300%. I borrowed this formula from someone who does flower arranging. You can add some cost for time in there too, but if you are just letting your creative juices flow as I sometimes do, then all the time would make the piece too costly. I did, at one time, find a place that gave different formulas for figuring prices, and if I can find it again I will post it. Some beaders multiply the time by the hourly wage they want, and that is the price. For example, 4 hours to make x $10.00 would be $40.00.
