    Talking old crochet books

Hi, I am new to this site. I recently purchased an old crochet book of baby sweater sets. The hook definition is not the same as our standard scale. Does any one know the equivalent of a #3 bone crochet hook to the current sizes? Thank you.

From 100 Hats to Knit & Crochet by by Jean Leinhauser. Probably the worst pattern in this book. Thought you guys would enjoy. It's not even that old, 2006...oh god that was ten years ago, ignore me.

"'Bone' crochet hooks are 5" long and come in sizes 1 to 6, roughly the equivalent of B to G.

I can knit very well with knitting needles, but I never learned to crochet.
