I just saw an interview with the author of Teacher Man on the Colbert Report! He was very long-winded, ha ha, but I guess that's what it takes to be an author!

anything by Fannie Flagg is fast paced and very funny. she wrote Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. she also wrote Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man--which is such a HILARIOUS book. they can be a little bit "dirty" in places, and i don't know how conservative she is, but maybe she should test her limits!
