Just today I finished Jim Harrison's latest, Returning to Earth. I do enjoy Mr. Harrison's work. Before that, it was The Physician's Daughter by Ann Benson. (Yes, the same Ann Benson who writes beading books.) This is part of the same series as The Burning Road and Plague Tales. For some reason I didn't love it quite as much as I did those first two. Also a tiny volume of Cole Porter lyrics. Ever since I saw De-Lovely, I've been a major fan.

I've been catching up on late Christmas gifts, so I only read one book this month. I finished Schrodinger's Ball by Adam Felber last week. Funny, super smart, great characters. A comedy about physics! What's not to like? I highly recommend it.

(If you're a fan of NPR's Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, that's where you've heard of him; he's a panelist and this is his first novel.)
