i've been thinking about this over the past few days.

i have always had a reading list, ever since i can remember. the thing about it in recent years is that it is constantly changing. i used to guilt myself about it all the time. i would say that in the past three years i have become extremely picky about my choice of books, and attribute it to the fact that I simply do not have the time to read something that does not interest me. i usually give the book until page 50 and if i can't get into it, i put it down.

I will write down the name of a book that interests me and when i get around to getting it at the library i find that 9 times out of 10 it will not hold my interest. so, my reading list is constantly fluctuating and changing, and that keeps it interesting and more worthwhile to me.

if you have to guilt yourself into reading something, then there really is no pleasure to be taken from it.

Truth to be told - yes.
So I keep tracking my progress in my notebook. It's quite motivating.

Only if I do not find time to read these books.
