Favorite author? Book? Series?
As an avid book nerd i'm always looking for new books to read. So I thought that maybe some of you might be as well. Why not start a thread where we can tell what our favorites are and maybe others will give them a try. Or maybe we'll pick up a new book on someones recommendation.
Favorite Author: Diana Palmer: *I have every single book she's ever written with the exception of the Mortacai Batallion and its sequel*
Nora Roberts: I have only found 2 of her NR books that I can't get into which are: The Villa and Midnight Bayou. That being said, I don't like her JD Robb books for some reason.
Rachel Caine: I love her Morganville Vampire series.
Camilla Lackberg: She's a Swedish author who only has 2 books in english, The Ice Princess and The Preacher. She is compared to Steig Larrson of the Millenium Trilogy, so I was a little leary at trying her first book but am so glad that I did. Unlike Steig's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Camilla had no incredibly boring parts ie: the financial talk, most things that didn't involve Lisbeth Salanader. Her books get you from the first chapter and just keep you interested, you try to guess who is the culprit but on the first one I was so way off base it wasn't funny! The second i'm in the middle of now and I can't wait to find out if my guess is correct or not.
JK Rowling: I'm a horrible fan because I still haven't read book 7 all the way through, I cried during one part and haven't re-picked it back up yet. But I am still a huge fan. Even though she killed off my favorite character in book 5. RIP Sirius :O(
Favorite Series: Long Tall Texans by Diana Palmer
Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber
Monster High by Lisi Harrison
There are more i'm sure, but these are all that I can remember off the top of my head.

One author whose books I loved reading in high school was James Hadley Chase, a British crime fiction novelist. But, living in the US now, I'm having a hard time getting my hands on his books...

My favorite book growing up was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine it is still my favorite to be honest. It has a Cinderella type story but much better.
