I don't know if the Safeway's in the US have the Lucerne brand but in Canada they have an ice cream called Tin Lizzy Cheesecake and it is goooooooood... so good, I only buy it once or twice a year because of how not good I feel after eating too much of it! ;o)

One of my favorite desserts is taking frozen berries and fruits (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, etc.), chopping them up, mixing with a bit of granulated sugar and letting sit in the fridge for a few hours. Then adding a little cream or whipped cream. Mmmmmm....

My favourite homey desserts are oatmeal cake with (German?) broiled frosting....coconut, walnuts, butter, cream and brown sugar brought to a boil then poured on top of the cooked cake...supposedly one would then return the pan to broil...but I can never be bothered.
Also like sour cream coffeecake, must be homemade with either apple, blueberry or chocolate chips for the filling and baked in a bundt pan.
When I am feeling decadent, anything with heaps of good quality chocolate, butter and cream will do, failing that, pass over some of those Lindts please....right now though, I am on a mint choc chip binge, that and dead easter bunnies....but that's just for breakfast.
and cookies...not really dessert, but life sustaining never the less...each and every cookie has a place in my heart...the only bad cookie is the one that falls on the floor when people are around (can't have them knowing that you eat food off the floor, right?)

I think a shorter list for me would be desserts I don't like!

I love a good mud pie.

    Apple crisp-type desserts are yummy

Creme brulee is also a favorite

I like a chocolate chip cheescake, esp if it's not too heavy

Pumpkin or applie pie is yummy, too

And my favorite is just a humungous ice cream on a sugar cone. Esp coffee oreo from a stand that makes their own ice cream!

My absolute, all-time favorite dessert is one I can proudly claim to have made myself.

I used to have a vintage ice cream machine (the kind you have to crank for two hours--it unfortunately rusted out). And my parents have a really great garden.

So, what else could I do but make a batch of super-rich custardy vanilla ice cream, and then some warm rhubarb sauce to put on top? Oh my god it was so good. And the best part was, the people at that party all thought it was fun to take turns cranking for a while but a lot of them gave up and left before it was finished. More for those who stuck it out!

I also make a great chocolate-dipped coconut candy that I love.

And in the somebody-else-makes-it category, I LOVE the cinnamon ice cream at Peterson's in Oak Park, Illinois.

    i also love:
    - apple caramel cheesecake
    - apple strudel
    - basically any dessert involving apple
    - sex in a pan
    - mint chocolate chip ice cream
    - chocolate chip cookie dough, straight from the bowl

Betty Crocker's Williamsburg Orange Cake. It's unfortunately not in any recent versions of the cookbook but the 1978 book mom has...

It's a basic layer cake with chopped golden raisins, orange zest, and the best part--butter cream frosting with triple sec!

I also love me a pineapple upside down cake, and oatmeal raisin cookies.
