    CAFETERIA FOOD! ALWAYS! BAD!

I'm going to get a fridge soon so I can start making things like, um, wait-- I don't really cook. But I will! The cafeteria food is making me eat terribly.

Tonight I had a sandwich, a bowl of cereal, a little piece of coffee cake, and some of my best friend's ice cream. and I thought, "WHAT? THIS IS TOO MUCH FOOD!"

But my excuse was that I was sick. And I am. BLEH. I hate my cafeteria.

Oh crap, I should make something for dinner.

I guess I'll pick up a pre-roasted chicken so I can boil the leftovers for risotto on Friday (Thursday is eat out before orchestra night) and maybe I'll roast up one of the acorn squash? I wonder if I have any potatoes hiding in the cupboards...

This is the problem with going out of town, I guess.

we had teriyaki beef and veggies, a la voila! brand. along with it, some atkins style corn muffins, which were pretty darn good. and lemon-lime kool-aid. it was a great candlelight dinner!

we made udon noodles with peanut-ginger sauce, some sushi rice and edamame. YUM.

i've been really into cooking meals lately. i assumed i wouldn't have the time for it, but when i make time i thoroughly enjoy it.

Yesterday I threw a beef roast in the slow cooker before leaving for work. Seasoned it like crazy. Then I added celery, carrots, and potatoes when I got home. The house smelled wonderful, and then we turn the left overs into soup, by taking out the potatoes (they get kind of gross), and adding noodles. Such a good, and relatively easy, healthy dinner.
