my comfort food would have to be soft boiled eggs and toast all mashed up/cut up and mixed together
my mom always made them whenever i had a stomach ache, the flu, ok whenever i felt like poo... so, when i feel upset or whatever i make them and am reminded of the times my mom took care of me
they are affectionately termed "sick boy eggs" by my baby brother, then renamed "sick girl eggs" by my baby sister and myself

kind of cheesey, i know *blush*

comfort "binge" food would have to be triscuits and brie, ben and jerry's pistachio pistachio, or buttered noodles with breadcrumbs

noodles with butter, parmesan cheese and pepper.
of course, it's better with freshly grated parmesan off the block, but it's pretty darn tasty with the stuff from the green can!

I too have always loved french fries and eggs. It is a family dish that my Mom used to make for us and her mom made for her and so on. My mother is Spanish. Sometimes
we would put it in a warm homemade tortilla with a little chile. Soooo good!

sandwiches--perfect mix of carbs and miscellaneous other yummy stuff. like cheese.

actually, carbs of any sort and cheese make my life a lot better.

hot tea is always comforting to me, but since i'm always drinking it it's not really so much something i bring out just for comfort sake.

i don't eat chicken that often, but chicken noodle soup with rosemary and garlic is amazingly comforting, especially when sick. i associate it with being sick by default. it's amazing.

i love buttery croissants, lightly toasted with a little tiny drizzle of honey. and pastries in general. when i'm sad they always make me feel better! flour, butter, sugar, yum! cream cheese, too, is yummy but it doesn't always make me feel so good. i just love something warm in my belly really. soup and tea, yep!

i forgot about croissants. mmm. i love croissants split open and toasted with butter and raspberry jam.

god, why must all the blissful foods be so incredibly fatty.
