hopefully not mario or bobby. why did they pick the two greasiest, most annoying and disrespectful dipshits? they don't even deserve to be in the same building as Sakai or Morimoto.

Wolfgang's just so damn cute. It's a little perverse, but I adore his Elmer Fudd+Arnold Schwarzeneggar voice.

Ditto on the Bobby Flay creepiness.

I love Iron Chef! (My partner just doesn't get it). But I'm having problems with my reception and the channel that plays it here I haven't been able to watch it for over a month!

Amen. At least there is no Emeril -- that would be the unholy trinity right there, BAM!

Replace one of the dipshits with a female chef, I say. If that's even allowed -- I haven't watched much Iron Chef, maybe it's a male thing.

i watched the iron chef america tag team match. I have to say that I prefer the japanese version, b/c it's kitschy and campy...i.e. it's funny b/c it's translated and dubbed and they like different foods so its interesting.

Iron Chef america was trying to recreate that by copying it, not by bringing an american point of view to it...the only non japanese thing that i noticed was that the last food judge was outright rude...generally the japanese chefs say something complimentary or neutral but never say 'i removed the abalone from my mouth after trying to chew it for five minutes'.
I hope that man gets food poisoning!

yeah, the american version lacked a certain, coolness, didn't it? like all foodnetwork shows, it was just a the other side of tolerable.

but i only watched a little bit. b/c i like mario batali, i'll try to catch it on reruns.

I like this new iron chef much better than the one they did with Shatner as the host - Alton Brown is perfect to fill in all the technical details and inspire some excitement for the competition.
