My Cupcake

I arrived at work this morning and my friend had a cupcake for me from Magnolia Bakery (of Sex in the City fame). She had a 3 day weekend in NYC. I am waiting for the right time today to eat it. It has pink sprinkles.

Yummmm, Magnolia Bakery! I used to work about a block from there once a week. I could never wait, often started eating them before i got out the door. Especially if you have to deal with the added anxiety of having to wait in the line around the corner to get it!

i heart magnolia! the line is worth it. hoewver, i ate four in a weekend and developed a phobia of cupcakes- short lived however.

I haven't had the pleasure of visiting the shop but, I have made the recipe for vanilla cupcakes from the Magnolia Bakery cook book to RAVES. They are so simple. Just loads of the good stuff (butter and sugar).

oh man, i am so jealous. i almost went last night but realized i was too late and they'd be closed by then. i am definitely stopping at buttercup bake shop after work one night this week instead since it is closer to my office.
