I buy it in the UK, I'm not sure where else it's available.

Here is the link to the official site:

There's a great little tea store that just opened right near my house in Porter Square. It's Tea Zone:
    15A Elm St.
    (617) 628-3238

It's less than a 5 minute walk from the red line Porter stop. They have lots of rooibos varieties and samples and stuff.

it's an African plant. the tea doesn't have caffeine in it, and it's reddish in color. it's supposed to have lots of antioxidants and is low in tannins.

i like the taste, but it does take some getting used to.

It's also known as "red tea".

I can't drink it, the smell gives me a headache.

    Re: Rooibos Tea?

Brightsun - I drink it occasionally. I like it when it''s flavored with fruit pieces and vanilla. Since you''re in Boston, you could visit a Teavana. I think they''ll let you try some before you commit to buying anything. It''s a little commercialized, but it''s probably the safest recommendation since I''m in Atlanta and am not as familiar with Boston tea places.
