My son gave me the Barefoot Contessa's Everyday Cookbook, and we're both looking forward to cooking from it; the recipes look scrumptious. For dinner DH grilled us T-bone steaks, with faux caesar salad and real croutons made by my son. Dessert was strawberries and a wonderful bundt cake baked from scratch by my own bad self.
    Here is the recipe.

This is the first cake that has actually turned out edible for me in a long, long time. As a Mother's Day plus, it was more than edible, it was actually good.

I just finished making curry-ginger butternut squash soup, and sauteÚd asparagus/greenbeans/red peppers. It's absolutely lovely!
The soup warms you from the inside out!

oh, YUM! I was just thinking about apple pie with cheese the other day! Do you bake the cheese into the crust, or do you top the pie with it after it's baked?

I'm waiting on the bell to ring and someone to hand me a piping hot chicken and broccoli pizza. I plan to drown it in green Tobasco sauce and wash it all down with a ice cold beer.

It's been one of those days!

Tonight is roast chicken on a bed of celery and onions and garlic. Side of stuffing, the other side broccoli and cheese sauce.

Tonight is my husbands home made pizza. It is very good. He has put a whole lot of work into perfecting the sauce and crust.
