i thought your purple theme was brilliant, and the menu sounded delicious! thanks for posting about this... it's inspiring!!

i can completely understand why you were hurt. i don't mean to rub salt into to the wound, but as a former vegetarian and a cook with friends who are vegetarian, i feel it's common courtesy to call in advance and politely inquire about the menu. that way the guest knows whether or not the hostess (or host!) going out of their way to accommodate their dietary needs.
