garlic scapes
i've heard about these on the foodie blogs i read, and i noticed that the local whole foods has them. i love garlic, and the more the better for me. i would like to try them. has anyone cooked with them? any recipes/suggestions?

I first had garlic shoots (which, according to 39 seconds of research, seems to be the same thing) in China about 10 years ago. It was to die for.
I visited in summer rather than spring the second time, though, and it wasn't as tasty, so be sure it's in season.
I've bought them frozen at one local Japanese market, but haven't seen them at many...

i found a recipe! well, it's not a recipe, i just roasted them:
preheat oven to 425 degrees, lightly coat in olive oil, salt, roast for 15-20 minutes.
in my googling, i saw that it is used in chinese cooking a lot, particularly stir fry.
they were tasty, and made my apartment smell wonderful.
