My wife makes wonderful loop scarves in various designs which looks awesome on her. She always gifts it to her family and she is very demanding for her art.

I knit almost constantly and made quite a few scarves for Christmas gifts this year. Depending on the design and pattern, you can make a simple scarf in a few hours or spend many days working on something more intricate. I just mailed a beautiful thank you gift knitted scarf to a friend that took me roughly ten days to complete because of the intricate pattern but it's worth the effort when they look so beautiful. Most people love hand made items but I've never leaned to weave, knitting is time consuming enough as I also make afghans all the time for the Warm Up America project. The afghans get sent to homeless shelters and disaster relief programs like the Red Cross.

Scarves itch too much for me. I can never wear them.

My mom does them too. It is an acquired skill indeed. She does it in a way I've seen no one else do.

Nope...No scarf but I've knitted a blanket and headbands, very fun

I've tried when i was in school, but it stopped after 2 days of knitting)

Nope not me but I am looking to getting into it. Pretty much for just this. I want to be able to make friends and family custom gifts.
