    advice on vancouver!

    given the results of today's election and the fact that i am young and can still afford to be fairly impulsive, i am moving to vancouver next year. i would love advice on living there, esp. from people who are running stores already or know folks who are. you can email me off-list at

    I used to live there. It's a beautiful city, similar to Seattle. It's a cosmopolitan city with lots to do. If you especially like outdoors activities, you'll like this city.

    Within an hour driving distance, you can go skiing. With in the city itself, you'll find ice skating rinks, horse-back riding. There are lots of places to hike or if you like biking, try Stanley Park. It's the largest there. But there are many botanical gardens that you can go to.

    The pace is the city is moderate. You can work your heart out AND have a rich personal life.

    I plan to go back.
