Any craftistas in San Diego, CA?

I just read the Get Crafty book, and I realize I need to surround myself with inspiring people with crafting and artistic interests. Does anyone know of any get togethers in the San Diego area? I don't have a house to start my own group (I'm a traveling pet sitter) so I need to join someone else's group. I figured asking around is the best way to start.
