    dirty Jersey?? anyone??

Hi, my name is Christine and i'm looking for any craftsters in the new jersey area...my location is new brunswick, and i'm attending Rutgers University. I do a fair amount with the activist/feminist groups on campus, and I'm an officer of Radigals; the Women and Gender Studies undergrad assoc. we're planning an annual feminist conference this march, as well as the NJ Zine fest . I'm looking to find other craftsters in the area, in school or not, to stitch and bitch with, swap, form business partnerships, etc etc etc. email me or post!!

    i'm with ya!

dirty jersey? i don't get it.

anyway, i'm from the princeton/trenton area and i'd like to be included. i'm kindof a lazy crafter to be honest and i need support and/or a group. i want to learn how to knit, i have the book, yarn, etc. but never seem to sit down long enough. have you had any luck getting people together so far? i am a ceramics student at tcnj.

    talk to you soon!

hey everybody. i lost where i had posted this, i didn't know if i posted this in another forum. i really would like to start a group, but it would have to wait until the summer, when i'm free from this school junk. it looks like we're in the same area! i work at marketfair mall, if anybody knows where that is.

what are everyone's interests crafting wise? i sew stuff, no clothes just yet, embroider, decoupage, easy printmaking, stuff. i want to learn how to knit/crochet, silkscreen. we should start a general craft group, maybe to expand people's interests. let me know-post or pm me!

*dirty jersey- my nickname for this beloved state we live in. i also grew up in northern nj, factory cityscapes far as the eye could see.

    Hi Everyone -

I'm in the Jersey / NYC area, but I'm also looking to network with others who have started their own lines and/or have made a business out of their crafts.

Anyone know the requirements for starting a business in New Jersey?

    Let's network!

hi! i live in essex county and host a knitting group in livingtson and west orange. if anyone would like to join us, pm me. it's ok with me if you crochet or do any other type of portable craft (beading, needlepoint, cross-stich, etc). we meet at the borders cafe on route 10 in livingston, cosi across route 10 from borders and panera bread in west orange.

besides, knitting, i know basic sewing and am taking a patternmaking/design class at hudson county community college in jersey city.

belindasuperstarr, my friend just incorporated herself (she is a redesigner/organizer/ feng shui consultant), and she received a lot of help from the small business administration and from SCORE:

I'm from Essex County. I do a variety of crafts. Just opened my online shop to sell different items from independent crafters. Would love to meet more local people wishing to sell their projects.

    Knitting Group?

I am a knitting beginner. Actually most beginners know more than I do! I just joined this site and am looking for a supportive knitting group somewhere in the North Newark/Belleville/Nutley/Clifton/Montclair/Verona and or West Orange area.

hi, nitewyngs! i host a group in livingston on wednesdays twice a month. maybe that is too far for you. there are also some members meeting on mondays at panera at essex green in west orange. pm me if you are interested, and i will add you to our yahoogroups (for notifications of meetups and discussion). both modern yarn and stix-n-stitches in montclair (local yarn shops) host thursday night knitting groups. all are free.

there might be other groups meeting in this area, but i don't know of them. check out http://www.meetups.com.
