    Security system options

    Hello all,
Recently my friend has shifted to a new locality in Toronto. While talking with her neighbour they told her that break-ins were common in the area and now she feels very insecure. When her hubby goes for work she'll be all alone in her house. So, the neighbours suggested her to install a home security system from Toronto for their protection.
Since she has not used these kind of facilities she is not sure whether they are reliable? Has anyone here used any security system?
Please let me know what are your thoughts about this. Also, please feel free to tell any other option you know of to use in this kind of situation.
    Thanks in advance!

Some models of smart locks allow you to keep the standard fittings, while others require replacement. There are smart locks that are installed on top of existing equipment, so that installation can be achieved without the cost of completely replacing standard designs, while keeping keys as a backup.

A video surveillance system can include different types of equipment. Still, it generally works like this: The video camera reads the data and sends it to the recorder for processing. The user can see the recorded picture on the screen. The video camera can record the data or display it in real-time (without recording). There are several types of video surveillance: Analog and digital. Using an AV cable, the video camera is connected to the recorder connected to the monitor. To secure such equipment to the PC directly, you will need to install an additional "gimmick," namely a video capture card.
