    Constructing wooden shelves

    Hey,
I making wooden shelves for my daughters bedroom. I was preferring wall shelves but my daughter is insisting on getting a separate, not wall attached shelf. She seems to be amazed with something she saw online. Anyways I was wondering the amount of wood required for it, cause I don't want any wood to go waste. I am already worried about dumping the remains from the construction, cause our disposal company has already said a no for it. I have heard of the garbage bins nearby Toronto. I am thinking of asking them for the removal of the junk. Anyways this is the picture of the shelf, that my daughter is in love with. Would love to know, approximately how much wood, would be required for its construction.

Separate sounds more interesting in my opinion. Are you sure you want to make it yourself? Maybe to see in Ikea some options?
