    potholder swap?

anybody interested in a swap to break in this new forum?

i'm thinking potholders. guess because i need some new ones and just came up with a good idea for some.

quilted/applique/knit/crochet/whatevvah. as long as they're usable.

there will be a little twist to this swap; you will need to incorporate the colors of your swappee's kitchen.

if you're interested, let me know and we'll get the ball rolling. thinking signup by the end of the month, send out by the end of may?

This sounds like a lot of fun! I could use some new potholders also. What a fun way to get some. Incorporating the swapee's colors... Brilliant!!!

i've been thinking - i always buy them in pairs. how does everyone feel about doing that? of course, if you have something really labor-intensive in mind, you can just do one..... just use your best judgement.

Potholders are great. Besides keeping your fingers from getting burned, they make me think about homemaking, female heritage, the comfort and nurturing of food, creative and artistic expression--lots of strong grandma images here. They're also one of the first things my grandmother ever taught me to sew when I was tiny.

Sarabell, I pm'd you my info. Please count me in.
