    Sigh...so sad about my kitty

Last night our female cat, Kaatje, became really sick. She had vomited her food and water and was very lethargic. I stayed up with her until 3:30am., then passed out. Took her to the vet this morning. Found that she had become diabetic. Her glucose reading was almost 700!! The vet said she had probably been ill for quite sometime, but only just reached crisis mode over the w/e. So, we made the sad decision to have her put to sleep. She would have been 12 yrs. old this summer. I took my boys over to the vet's to say our last goodbyes about an hour ago. *sniff*

so sorry for your loss. i've had to go thru that a few time, last time with kitty who had kidney failure. very sad.
i want to add, that doing that was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do.
    hugs to you.

    sending you a hug too.
losing a pet is the worst, especially that way.
it's horrible to lose a member of the family. hope she didn't suffer too much.

    another hug :)

i also wanted to say that i think it was very loving of you to let her go peacefully rather than trying to put her through desperate treatments. (personal anecdote omitted.)
