they want to watch it again and again....

we're now on the third running of 'the yellow submarine' so far today. it's not even 1:00 p.m. guess i can't complain. it could be a lot worse. and has been. thankfully, lately, it's also been 'march of the penguins', 'charlie and the chocolate factory' (thank you netflix...) and a national geographic rainforest video.

what movies/videos do your kids insist upon watching over and over?

    Anything they see. Ever.

Right now it's Madagascar because that's the last movie we bought.

For a while my youngest daughter liked "Real movies" like Pearl Harbor and (blushes) Maid in Manhatten.

oh...wait, I forgot, they're onto Christmas with the Kranks right now

I think I should take a hint from you and get Yellow Submarine!

Star Wars - all of em' Our kids are such Star Wars geeks. They make fun of me because I always get the names of the ships wrong, too!

We go through cycles. Like slinkster said, they'll watch whatever the most recent acquisition over and over, with a few current favorite in between.

My middle brother went through a phase where for SIX MONTHS (I do not exaggerate) he only wanted us to read him The Cat in the Hat Came Back. One of my key chores that year (I was 12) involved reading him that book several times a day. I can still recite it from memory.

This was no time for play
this was no time for fun
this was no time for games
there was work to be done

My daughter likes CBC in Canada. It's kind of like PBS with cutesy little shows that are pretty benign. We watch Doodlebops (on Disney in the US I think), Roley Poley Ollie, Nanalan', and Mumble Bumble. That's the hour of television I let her watch on weekdays so I can get something done. She's not really caught up on any one particular movie, though.

i thought it would be, but i've been watching it to see if it would be appropriate for the extremely sensitive daughter of my friend and it really isn't scary.....
