My best friend 's birthday will come this weekend, so I made this pearl bracelet for her.
Are these pearl beads too small? But i can not found bigger pearl beads in this color.

DIY FLower Trinket Container

I eat eggs. I eat lots of eggs. Therefore I am left with a large quantity of egg cartons.
Besides, recycling is boring so instead of throwing the cartons away I get crafty with its uses.

Here is a DIY guide to making a recycled trinket organizer with a delicate feel that is also useful.
What you will need:

Cardboard egg carton
Paint
Paint brush
Glue (preferably a glue gun)
Scissors
Razor blade

Cut out the raised portion of the egg box. That will be the inside of the flower, so trim it like petal.

The cup (where the egg sits) will be the base where you will add the petals inside. Trim the edges to look like petals.

Keep shaping the petal both the inner part and outside. Cardboard is extremely forgiving.
To make your flower look realistic paint them in gradient color enhance the inner petal then lighter on the outside. I used the lightest color for the flower cup.

Once the paint is dry shape them together give some retouch of color if needed.
Roll the petals and glue them in the flower base.

Add more petals for a fuller look.

I played with different colors. The color white is your best friend in this project adding dimension and highlights. I made four trinket containers, one for each nite stand so guests can use them when they come to visit.

I love the raw materials look so I purposely left the cardboard exposed on the bottom leaving the inside a delicate pink. It is perfect for small pieces of jewelry, spare pesos and knick knacks.

For a more polished look paint the outside of the carton and finish with a gloss. I prefer to leave it natural to make the decomposition process easier.

I will be showing you how to wrap a stone with hemp string in this video. No glue needed. Wrapping a stone can open the door to lots of creative ideas. This is the first of a couple of videos that I have planned. In the next video I will show you several ideas that I have come up with and the different things we can wrap... even sea shells. I love to use different strings also. (yarn, crochet string, hemp string and twine) I also plan to make a video to show you how I made this necklace and how I attach a wrapped gemstone. It really does make a beautiful necklace. We CAN make beautiful jewelry that is original but it does not have to have a high cost. The best part is... IT IS SO MUCH FUN!! I love it when the weather is cool or gloomy because I enjoy making some comfort food and to be tuck under the covers. For this recipe I like to make a healthier alternative to the regular chili. Not only does this recipe have low calories but it taste delightful!

Turkey Chili Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground turkey

1 small red onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 can diced tomatoes, undrained

1 can black beans, rinsed and drained

1 can reduced-sodium chicken broth

1 bag frozen sweet corn, thawed

1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

1 tsp. chili powder

� tsp. pepper

� tsp. ground cumin

� tsp. garlic powder

� tsp. salt

Optional toppings: reduced-fat sour cream, low-fat shredded cheese, fresh minced cilantro, and sliced avocados

I saw a gorgeous glass bottle necklace at Forever21 and other small boutique stores in Houston several months ago. After seeing these charming necklaces, it approached to me that I can make my own. This will also be a great Mother�s Day gift or bridesmaid�s gift. You can actually put anything inside: from pearls, to glitter, to tiny beads, or roll up a little note.

Supplies:

-jump rings
