"Whatever, Just Crash It!"
OK, this is a totally light-n-fluffy post, but I need it after my day of subbing.
Has anyone else seen the commercial where the little boys are with the crash tester? I think it's for Saturn, but don't quote me on that. I LOVE this ad!!!
"Do the red one, Bob!"
*crash* "YAY!!!!"
"Now do the gold one!"
Bob: "That's "desert sand mica."
"Whatever, just crash it!"
It makes me smile and want a little boy. :)

"What about your car?"
I love that commercial too. (But I also can't remember what brand of cars it's for. I think it's not Saturn - but I could be wrong.)
-
I love it, too! It's for Toyota, which is shocking since Toyota usually has the worst commercials. I also love the one (I totally forget what it's for) where all the backyard grills are relaxing b/c they don't have to work anymore. One of them goes bowling, and gets a gutter ball.

ok, I have to confess here. . . I love the Rubber Band Man. Especially the holiday version.
-
I love the Toyota ads, but cringe at the sexist pair - the girls want to be driven around town to see their friends, and the boys want to crash them. I would have loved crashing cars...

I just saw this commercial involving the craziest paper bag puppets.
I'm enamoured ;)

I hadn't really even noticed that those two commercials were for the same cars. Or that one was boys and the other girls. To me, they're both just cute commercials featuring kids. I can imagine being a kid and liking to see cars crash, and also wanting to drive around with my friends. I guess if you're looking for sexism, you're going to find it.

We love that ad, too...maybe because we do DO have boys...2 of our own, usually a few others lurking about, too.
Rubber Band Man is the coolest!
I'm also fond of the AOL? ad with the guy making the Yeti noises.

"uncomfortable around fish?"
those ( i have seen 2 - one with a little girl at the playground, and one in a raquetball court) have to be the best commercials i have seen in a while.
but the super bowl is on today, so we'll see (not that i will watch the bowl, but, you know...)!

But I wasn't looking for it; I had seen each ad separately and liked them both on their own until one night I saw them in close enough proximity and realized they were trying to sell the same car - that's I guess what bothered me about it, if they were from the same company but for different models it wouldn't be so weird.
