    What is wrong with people?

I just saw this story on the news this morning while I was getting ready for work:

    http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/nati...s/1229527.html

Worse, I can't believe a judge awarded this idiot woman anything. If she lived in my community I think I might deliver some rotten eggs to her house!

I saw that on CNN this morning. :( It reminds me of when they'd punish people for putting extra coins in the meters of strangers.

It seems that we're always told that we never do enough for others, then we're punished when we try.

She thought they were burglars or some neighbors she had tangled with in the past, she said.

The most telling statement in the whole article.

Next time it probably won't be cookies that are left at her door.

What an idiot. I hope this doesn't deter these girls from doing nice things in the future. I would love cookies at my door!

    No good deed goes unpunished.

This made me want to cry; and do something really, really mean to that woman.

i read that article too, and the old witch said that she hoped that "the girls had learned a lesson" or something. made me wonder what lesson exactly that was...i wish there was some way we could send out mass letters of protest to both her and the judge who is making the girls pay the court fees. maybe if we place her on house arrest the world would be a better place

    haha!
I read an article about this on MSNBC yesterday, but it didn't have that line or the last paragraph about the lady saying the apology rang false and wasn't delivered in person! no kidding?!

The woman sounds horrible, but to give her some (very grudging) credit, it would give me a heart attack to have my door knocked on at 10:30 at night.

Still, you'd think after an explanation of what was going on, she wouldn't take them to court. Good grief!
