    Oh, I love those! The picture of "The hyperbolic plane can wrap into a double cylindrical form resembling a pair of pants." is so cute and funny. And nerdy and cool at the same time.

    Thanks for the link!

    (Not that I understand hyperbolic planes any better, or at all, but I love reading about knitting/crocheting scientists!)

    Ah, don't worry boheme-anne, I'm struggling to make a scarf labelled "for beginners" (it has a pattern in it) :-(

    well, that has to be because we have been using the wrong tools. if you uses crochet needles it is a lot easier.

    now i have to make those, i have to keep my geek cred.

    I was *totally* thinking the same thing! These are begging to be made. But now the question becomes: what are you going to do with yours? It would be a crime to make them and then just stash them away....I was thinking a funky mobile or something. I would tell my less cranial guests that it's modern art - heh, heh! But hot damn, my geek friends will truly be envious.
