Bringing Up Baby
Notorious
Singin' in the Rain
Rebel Without a Cause
Desk Set
Some Like It Hot
An Affair to Remember
Roman Holiday

-
Bringing Up Baby
Harvey
It Happened One Night
Adam's Rib
The Lady Vanishes
Arsenic and Old Lace
Roman Holiday
Funny Face
Swing Time (hahaha, someone told me that Fred & Ginger movies were like pornography. They find some absolutely implausible excuse to dance, anywhere, any time.)
The Philadelphia Story
-
The Maltese Falcon
Rear Window
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Twelve Angry Men
The Grapes of Wrath
To Kill a Mockingbird
Double Indemnity
The Bad Seed
Animal Crackers

Aaaah, I had The Bad Seed and Twelve Angry Men
And then I switched them.
-
Hey, this is my kinda thread!!
My faves:
Mildred Pierce
Double Idemnity
Now, Voyager
Casablanca
Key Largo
High Sierra
All About Eve
A Place in the Sun
A Face in the Crowd
Rebecca
I also love all the films that have been posted - I'm a black & white movie junkie!
-
The Heiress, Olivia DeHavilland
Witness for the Prosecution, Marlene Dietrich
The African Queen, Hepburn and Bogart
To Catch a Thief, Cary Grant and Grace Kelly?
Citizen Kane
and
Casablanca are two excellent films that get way more acclaim and exposure than they really deserve, IMHO. But still worthy of a top pick list.
I love Astaire films. No wait, I love any man who can dance....
-
Desk Set
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Some Like it Hot
The Quiet Man
THat Touch of Mink
Father Goose
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Sabrina
My Fair Lady
The Dirty dozen
I'm sure there are more, but this is off the top of my head.

Look how many movies are on several postings! Those are some great top ten lists... Everything from drama to comedy to war. I could easily have a top 20 with so many choices.
I think The Ten Commandments get honorable mention since i forgot to list it on mine.
