In my Netflix queue at the present moment:
1. House of Sand and Fog
2. Nosferatu
3. Y Tu Mama Tambien
4. Big Fish
5. In America
6. Mystic River
7. The Weather Underground
8. Harold and Maude
9. 21 Grams
10. Thirteen
11. Raising Victor Vargas
I watched the top three this weekend. House of Sand and Fog--good grief what a sad and conflicting movie.

This is always a dry time of year for rentals so this list is a little sad.
In the past few weeks I've rented:
-Smilla's Sense of Snow (older movie, but I just read the book) - pretty good
-Y Tu Mama Tambien - didn't like it at all, artsy porn does nothing for me
-Paycheck - with expectations as low as I had, I was surprisingly entertained
-Big Fish - Edward Scissorhands version of Pleasantville, I didn't find it that interesting
-The Cooler - Nice little film, didn't take itself too seriously and a nice spin on an old story.
-Matrix Revolutions - Could it have been worse than Reloaded, yes.
-Man without a past - winner of Oscar for best foreign film (Finnish) - fabulous!
-Timeline - pretty bad
-Dirty Pretty Things - Amazing! I recommend this to anyone.
-

I thought it was a little more than artsy porn. ;) What about the themes of friendship and fidelity? It was a bit graphic, sure.

Bored little rich yuppies that do too much drugs and have promiscious sex? hard for me to see them in any sympathetic light. It's not that it was graphic, I just don't porn that's disguised as art so that people don't "feel bad" about watching it.
