    careers in crafting

Anyone have any ideas of careers in crafts? I would love to sell my crafts as a business, but that seems like a tough business to get into. I'm only a sophomore in high school, so I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life! I still want to go to college so what should I get a degree in if I love all types of crafting? I would love to make crafting my career but I have no idea where to start or what I would do! Any help would be awesome!

go check out the switchboard forums for some ideas on how to run your own business.
Peruse the indie craft directories and webrings for examples of how people are doing this.
Develop your skills in the things you enjoy doing.
Pick up a book about being a professional crafter and read it.
Make prototypes of your ideas and play around with streamlining the craft process. Get used to trying things, working out the bugs, and trying again.
