I think I remember seeing a sign for pottery classes in Highland Park. Right on the main drag near the kosher pizzzaria, I think...

I know a friend of mine took a class at brookdale CC - but that's kinda far from New Brunswick...

    Good luck!

I think both Raritan Valley and Middlesex Community Colleges have pottery classes. I'm sure Mason Gross does too; however when it comes to 4 year colleges, sometimes they only allow art majors to take courses (that's how I was kicked out of a jewelry class). You can also check and see if the local high schools have adult school classes (usually on Mondays)

I know my friend took a class in Morristown (not too too close, sorry), but I can't remember exactly where.

and now for something completely different...

    GO JERSEY :)
Hell yeah! I LOVE jersey. It totally gets a bad rap because sometimes all people see is Newark Airport and the Turnpike... And because one or two people were rude, all of us are assumed rude...no so!

Although, I can get my rude on if I am provoked :)

    here here

unfortunately us jerseyans know how to get our rude on... or else you will get run over. but HERE HERE... because of where i work i meet a lot of people from all over the country and i always hear comments like "wow, i thought you'd have an accent" and "jersey is so beautiful, i always thought is was a trash heap!"

anyway, ceramics: may i recommend the clay studio (philly), fleischer art (also philly), and tyler art school (temple) for non-credit ceramics classes. unfortunately there's not much in the way of pottery in jersey proper (that i know of) but we are so close to philly and nyc!
