    Hi there,

I am new to this forum, but not new to online marketing. I recently wrote a quick-start guide for arts & crafts vendors and online marketing. PM me if you would like the link - I am not selling anything -- just trying to share knowledge. I do ask for an email address so I can easily send tips, videos, surveys, etc.

    Thanks,

    Anna

I have to make some new crafts, but I will be selling my crafts on a website called azcraze. It is a newer web site, but pretty cheap. I didn't go to any school. I pretty much just taught myself on my own pace. I think having a little store would be a good idea if you have enough merchandise and can afford to have one. I hope it works out for you

I sell my bows mostly to people I know or I know somewhat through others. I do okay. I do not have much of a mind for business, I am more for the creative part of the business. I am thinking about getting an account with the Stamps.com with a scale and all that because I find myself standing in line at the post office, and I also have done my first consignment event in March and did decent for my first one. So now I am constantly looking for unique trinkets to add to my bows and think outside the box. I am not working right now I am busy taking care of my mom who has limited mobility so I make bows in between my taking care of my mom. I always say follow your and do what you love to do. Good luck.

It doesn't hurt to have your own etsy shop but it is highly competitive marketplace. It is always better to have your own website, specially if you take it more serious, not just as a hobby.

Also when you get a happy customer and its friends ask where he got such a lovely thing, he will name your website, not etsy, where you've got thousands of sellers.
