    SAVE GOCCO

apparently the company that makes the print gocco supplies has decided to discontinue produciton. there is a small but growing campaign to save this amazing artform from dying out way before it's time.

check out http://www.savegocco.com/ before it's too late.

Yea I heard about this! I e-mailed their customer service dept. and one of the reps said they are discontinuing manufacturing for the US market!!! So sad!
But she did say that they have been ensured three years worth of supplies.

Thanks for that website. I bought a Gocco a few months ago and I've become an addict!

Is it only being discontinued for the US market? So maybe after three years it will still be possible to get black market screens and bulbs on eBay? Or am I going to have to start stockpiling?

I'm going to have to do a serious ink run. I'm just getting into the possibilities.

How sad! I wanted to get a Gocco. I just hadn't been able to afford it. Don't guess there is too much point now. :-(

Is there a similar product? I too held off and now won't buy one (knowing that it will be discontinued is too much for this monomaniac.) Darn darn darn.

I also wanted to try it out, but didn't get the chance. I tried doing a search for small screen printers, but all I got were hits for these fancy schmancy deals that were more complicated and cost a bundle more. Drat!!

You can still buy the products. Screens come in packs of 5 and bulbs in 10...so you can still do a bunch of projects. Also obviously depending on what you're working on (for example stationary), you can always reuse screens if you clean them well.
Inks last quite a while and a small glob goes a long way :)

    I still think it's a worthwhile purchase! :)

I just wanted to bump this, because way more people need to sign the petition. From what I understand, they are going to stop making it all together. I just found one place that is selling the kit for $700 now....yikes, and prices are jumping on eBay now. Anyways, they are hoping to find someone who will manufacture the Gocco, or a Gocco knockoff for the US. Please, folks, sign this. I haven't even had a chance to get a Gocco, and they aren't being made anymore. :(

Here's the address again to sign the petition:

Post this link anywhere you think people will want to SAVE GOCCO!
