    my neverending struggle with pillows.

I've been waking up nearly every day this week with a headache, obviously related to my flat, hard pillows. I need to get at least one new pillow (and I'm going to let my feather pillow soak up the sun so that it might get fluffy again), but I have no clue what to get. Any recommendations of a type of pillow? I just don't want the darn thing to go flat two months after use.

I'm very sensitive. I once found a pea under my mattress and nearly died.

hmmm, no advice here, because i can't stand fluffy pillows, unless i am sitting on them or something. i usually sleep without a pillow anyways.

good luck on your pillow search

I'm not a very fancy pillow person, but I'm sensitive like you.. I got these pillows from IKEA that are pretty good, it's been year with heavy usage and they're standing up pretty well. Good value, and they have a wide variety to choose from.

Candice, do you remember/know the name of the brand you use? I might look into IKEA pillows and pay to have them shipped, seeing how PILLOWS aren't too heavy...

    Not -quite- a solution..

You might also try washing them as well.
For a normal sized washer, put two in, because they balance out each other, weight-wise.
Try to run your washer and dryer at the highest speeds, to fluff them out.

Failing that, the "air fluff" function on your dryer works well too.

i have this problem, too. i finally got new pillows, and they have made a difference (although, i'm still not great).

have you tried pillows with gussets for your particular sleeping style? here are some examples:

http://secure.linensource.com/defaul...c&page=product (i just found this, and maybe this is what i should have bought. darn!)

    hope this helps. :-)

I got one of those foam pillows that mold to your head. I'm not sure it's sooo much better than a regular pillow, but if you want firm it's definitely better.

They're insane expensive at most places, but mine came from Costco at a reasonable $25 or so.

I have the same kind of pillow as nicegirl, also purchased at Costco.
I really like mine, firm yet squooshy. And with my old pillow, sleeping on my side sometimes gave me a sore ear, but that hasn't been happening with this one.
