Advice on starting a craft business

I was thinking of selling some vintage clothes, jewelry, and maybe stencilled shirts online, but I'm not really sure what I need to do to start it up. Do any of you guys who have online shops have any advice?

Here are some things you need:
    -Domain Name
    -Hosting Service
    -Shopping Cart Service
    -Business License
-Logo & Website Design (unless you know how to do this, you might need to find a friend or hire someone to create one)

That should be enough information to get you started, at least doing research.

Kdaum said what I was gonna say!

Web design, hosting, a good camera, and a lot of time!

You can set up an Etsy store in the meantime to see how your things sell, and to have your product online while you're preparing your site/business.

I didn't even think of Etsy, but it's probably a good idea to try it on there before investing all that money in a domain and the like. Thanks for the input.

Etsy isn't the only place to try, there's also Zibbet and I heard of something called Lilly shop (I'm not sure about the name) that might be useful.
Check out my blog to see how my mind works.

I did etsy first and am slowing weaning my supplies off of it. I am no computer guru but I got a domain name, went to hostgator to host the site and use open cart for my shopping cart service. It is very easy to use and set up. Contact me I will help you for free.

Selling online is a great way to boost the sales and it is the best platform to make lots of money. I think selling online any type of product is a great idea to attract more visitors and enhance the sales quickly.

It's much better to start off on sites that have loads of traffic, because you will otherwise have to pay for Google Adwords or spend years (or loads of money) doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to appear in the search results. Once you're business is going well, you can then invest some money in building up a domain.
