Help! Want to start a website, but need help!

I currently have a shop on Etsy, but I want an additional website. I have a domain name and a host, but I don't know where to go from here. I would potentially like someone to build me a site, but I can't spend a lot of money. Unfortunately I don't know where to look for the person I need. Any suggestions?

    Thank You!

Hi- I built my website with the free web builder from There is probably a freebie offered by either your domain name provider or your host provider. All you need is a digital camera and lots of time. It is better for you to build your own so you can update and change things and add links as you wish without having to pay someone else to do it. Please check out my site and email me if you have any Q's.

    Good luck,

I used to have a site (just for fun, when I was in high school with tons of time). There are a lot of free downloadable java and html editiors out there that will make the process much easier.

I built my website myself using free software called Mambo but now they have Joomla. If you are selling anything you will need the eCommerce add on called Virtue Mart.
    Here's the information:
this is the demo of Mambo

this is the demo of VirtueMart that works with Mambo

    Hope this helps.

    I can help..

Hey, I love designing and sometimes I just crave it, so I love doing it almost for free. LOL. I charge $10 / hr 'cause I don't have a degree, and I'm not 100% advanced/professional.

Here are my under construction stores: and

    Good luck!

(I too want my own store, not just Etsy.)

I do understand you as I was in the same boat. When I wanted to build a website, I didn't know what to start with. My advice is to choose an easy-to-use web design tool that doesn't require coding skills (I used one of website builders from and easily coped with this work by myself). And of course, it is better to find out more tips before you start in order not to face any issues during the process.
