    starting a crafty business...help/opinions/advice!

I recently started my little business, called enneirda. (http://www.geocities.com/adriennemanlove/hello.html)

it's only been a week or so since i created the website, but i haven't been getting business. is it normal for things to pick up slowly?
what is the best way to get my site out there? also, i want honest opinions about the stuff i make. is it original, compared to the other stuff you've seen out there? i'd also really appreciate any advice, etc. this is my first post. :) thanks!

I'm really new to selling crafts, but I've heard a lot of people saying to add your site to Bust's Girl Wide Web. You might want to try submitting your site to some search engines, too. You'll probably learn more at this www.theswitchboards.com

Your bag is super cute, but if I were you I'd check into the legality of selling stuff with things like band logos & movie art on it. Usually the band names, artwork, movie titles, etc. are copyrighted & the sole property of the company/band they belong to.

Best of luck. And I second what frenchkitty said -- submit your site to as many search engines & online resources as you can. Folks need to know you're out there before they can find you!

some people may not trust you or take you seriously if you don't have a domain and are hosted on geocities. could you invest in a domain?

your crafts are great, but the layout and links are a little fuzzy. fixing this might help.

also, you could try selling your stuff in a consignment shop, like http://cutxpaste.com . then, if people see some of your stuff in the shop, and are interested, there will also be a link to your site, where there will be more of your stuff.

    good luck!

your site looks good, but i'm wondering if you might get more play if you had more items to choose from, as well as the above suggestions about getting your site on as many links as possible. and a week isn't so long in the grand scheme of things, so don't get disheartened yet:)

good luck and congrats on getting your site up!
