    hm, i wonder what it is about ethanol specifically that does something to odor molecules that isopropyl alcohol doesn't do.

    you could probably just use rubbing alcohol, which is only 99 cents or so for a bottle, and save the vodka for drinking.

    try dragging it outside and leaving it in the sun all day if you can. that's usually good for stinky items. i also second the vinegar and baking soda hints above.
