Glass & Metal Glue?
Greetings -- I am hoping one of you can recommend a good glue to use for adhering glass to metal. I'm trying to glue a picture to the back of a glass cabochon, and then glue that to a metal ring. I've tried Aleen's Glass & Bead, Aleen's Jewel-It, and Bond 527, and all of them left bubbles that obscured the picture.
What have you all tried? What works?

I am currently studying glassblowing and I spend lots of time gluing glass! My recommendation would be to use a two part epoxy that you mix together ( look for the brand Devcon). I have found it at Walmart in the painting department. Also, some hardware stores will that brand carry it. Make sure to mix it very well! Clear silicone works well too gluing glass to metal. Good luck

feministmoon knows a lot more than i would, but what about good old fashioned superglue? i don't know if it would leave bubbles or not though...

I was going to suggest epoxy too. That's what we used in my silversmithing class to glue stuff to metal. I don't know if that would work with paper though.
A lot of people recommend E6000, but I don't even know what that is (it's probably sold under a different name where I live) so I have no idea if it would work for a marble ring.
How about making a packing tape transfer and use that instead of paper for the picture part? That might be less likely to "bubble".

I use Gem Tac to make glass marble rings. You can get it at Michaels.

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions! I'll keep playing.
(And WHO KNEW about packing tape transfers?? Wow!)
Appreciate everyone's help!

I was going to suggest E6000. I use it for exactly what you want to do. I buy it at both Joann's and Michaels. It's awesome glue, and it holds up well. I have 3 year old marble magnets made with E6000 that are still going strong.
