    ribbon holder

I had alll these spools of craft ribbon in a drawer making it real hard to see what colors/styles I had etc. Originally I thought I'd use an empty paper towel core on this plastic holder I got at the thrift shop and stand it up in the drawer...well the part that usually goes on the wall becomes the base. However the paper towel core was too big and flimsy so I drilled holes in the plastic and used a dowel. VOILA! For 50 cents I got what I needed and am more organized now.

    I love to recycle!

Aaaaack! I have so much ribbon on spools that they are displayed on end in a drawer like they are in the stores. And the ribbon and trims that no longer have a spool or were remnants to begin with are on paper towel cores. Yet I still come across stuff and say, "why did I just buy two inch wide fuschia organza ribbon when I have this?"

It's a sickness. It would be a blessing if one of my cats nested in the drawer snagging all the ribbons.

What a great idea! I have mine all crammed into a drawer, and it's a mess. Your idea sounds like the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing!
