marble accents
Ok, I just bought some marble accents at Michael's this afternoon. I'm planning on making a mosaic-thing on a memory box. I just need to know, is there any specific glue I should use? Would a hot glue gun be ok? Or do I need to go back for something specific? Thanks! :)

Are you going to put grout inbetween after all the pieces are glued on?

i'm still not sure? i dry-layed it on the box, and i like the way it looked. plus it's going to just be sitting around, never see elements.
but now that i look at it, it looks like a shrine to dayquil. (using orange & yellow marbles) maybe i'll grout it.

If you do decide to grout it, that should hold everything together no matter what kind of glue you use, but if not... I love the hot glue gun for everything. It may not hold up as well to the wear and tear, though.
On my ceramic pots I always attach things with ceramic tile adhesive, which is a frosting-like consistency. It dries very hard.

E6000 works really well for gluing glass to anything. hot-glued marbles tend to pop off.
