    Old suede shoes

I have a pair of suede shoes that used to be light pink; I bought them off season, cheap, but they were expensive Born shoes. They were dirty beyond any cleaning, except professional (costly). So I bought shoe paint and painted them. Now I have a pair of cerise shoes that look neither suede nor leather, but brand new!

I painted suede once too, and wasn't happy with the results... glad yours worked out. Why not post a pic?

You can't post pictures directly on the forums here. You can put them in the "pictures" or "blogs" section and post a link.

I'd like to see the shoes, too! I've used leather dye on shoes a couple of times with good results, but never tried it on suede.

You can put in an image... when you click "post reply" there is a button "IMG", copy and paste in the URL of the pic --not the album page, the pic itself -- which you find by right clicking the pic in the album page and selecting " properties" or "view image"

This is a close up of a mural by Louis Comfort Tiffany that is in my office building, one of 3 he made.... just took it randomly from my album....

I give up; I'm computer savvy, from the MS-DOS times. I posted the shpes in the image gallery, and now I remember that what I did (I didn't found in leather dye the color I wanted), I painted it with fabric paint.[/url]
