want to make gift for 19/m friend...help

one of my best guy friends is turning 19. hes very crafty in that he makes shirts and wallets and is an excellent painter. im good with taking pictures but have no photos of the 2 of us together. he enjoys movies a great deal, turtles and skateboarding. if any of that helps. PLEASE suggest me some ideasfor something i can handcraft for him. thanks so mcuh

Take him out. Take him to an art gallery or a movie, or if you're into skateboarding, too, take him to a skateboard park. Then you can bring a camera to take pictures of just the two of you and present them to him the next day/week in a collage or even on a t-shirt or wallet. That way, the both of you will have fun and he'll get something crafty to remember it.

Make him a "storyboard" for a movie starring you two? Draw some pictures, or photoshop some of you two together? (I love photoshopping pictures and doing a terrible job. There's something... Charming about it, maybe. Hm.)

ive come up with a relativly creative idea...i think.
im going to make him a cake with a turtle on it.
and at his suprise dinner have the waitress bring it out at the end.

then for the homemade craft, im going to take pictures of his friends (full body shots) and have them all holding a piece of paper saying what it is they like about him.. the cover of the book will say WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU, then i will take all the photos and cut them into 3 sections. head, torso, and legs. glue them into the book likeone of those childrens flip-books where you make the funny looking people by switching their heads, torsos and legs around. i hope you all know what im referring to because i dont know how else to describe it. but hopefully it will turn out cute. :)
