    make a mix book

My little sister came up with the idea for a "mix book" like a mix cd. I made her one for graduation. I filled it with drawings, tips for college, my favorite poems, my favorite stories, pictures, odds and ends. It was really fun to make - I just used one of those blank journal/sketchbooks and covered it with fabric. It turned out pretty cool. Just wanted to share the idea.

I did that for my sister's birthday last year and she loved it :)
I also put in our favourite recipes that my mom used to cook when we were younger!

That's such a sweet idea, great graduation present! I started one once when I met a dude and was all excited about him, but the r-ship didn't go anywhere. Ah well. I have been casually working on something sort of like that for some relatives. Like a scrap book but a little edgier. The scrapbooking ideas are pretty cool though some look like really expensive endeavors!
