    Heat Tool

Do I need one, or can I just use a hair dryer?

what are you using it for?

if you are using embossing powder for ink stamps on paper, you can just hold the paper with the ink and powder over a lightbulb until it melts.

for some other projects, a heat gun is a necessity, though...

Well one of the things was for embossing powder. But what exactly is the difference between a heat tool and a hair dryer? Is a heat tool hotter or more concentrated? What's an example of when I could only use a heat tool?

A heat tool is hotter than a hair dryer. Also, a hair dryer would blow all of your embossing powder away before the powder could bond with the paper. (I wondered the exact same thing when I learned about embossing!)

What else do you use it for Cornie? Just wondering because I hardly ever use my heat tool, just the occasional embossing powder stamp. I'd be glad to get more mileage out of it.

Those heat tools are also great for setting screenprinting!
