anybody make windchimes?

Those recycled glass windchimes are cool! I always thought it'd be fun to make some out of old skeleton keys.

those glass ones are very cool! some day i'll have a kiln.

i'm getting a nice visual from the skeleton key idea. i'm trying to think of making something out of stuff i have lying around en masse..... i always try to work out of my hoarde before purchasing supplies.

i know in my house we have a bunch of random keys (car keys, etc.) that we don't use anymore, mostly because we've forgotten what they open...maybe those would make a cool windchime if you hung them from lengths of wire (since they're so short).

Yes, anyone make wind chimes from any material such as copper, metals, wooden, glass, plastic etc. If you want to produce sound like metallic clank then you use the metallic pipes.

I like to use twine and different objects around the house like old spice jars, coins and metal knitting needles for a great sound that holds up to wind nicely.
