Why don't you try painting some Ceramic Pottery? It is a great thing for a group to do and lasts a long time. It's almost like a 3D canvas. Just make sure to have some paints too! You can find these at any wal-mart. You can use Acrylic paints.

You can even try this. It’s quick and hardly takes any time. Take a drawing paper and fold it in two. Open it and on this center fold, squeeze a dot of poster paint (use tubes, more convenient to use). Use random colors. Re-fold the paper and use a ruler to spread the colors in outer directions. Open the paper after spreading all the color drops, let it dry for some time. You will get lovely, colorful variations. You can use these on any card, notes or anything you like.
